Hi my name is Jordan and I am 8 years old. I am one of the original members and co-founder of The Diva Girlz Sorority. A Diva by definition is a celebrated female singer. However here at the Diva Girlz sorority the word Diva means so much more. D.I.V.A stands for the Dynamic, Intelligent, Vibrant and Ambitious Girlz Sorority. The Diva Girlz Sorority was started for beautiful black princesses between the ages of 6-13. Growing up my mom has always taught me to love myself. She let me know that I am beautiful on the inside as well as on the outside. I was taught to respect other girls for who they are. I have learned lessons about sisterhood and friendship. In addition she explained to me what a true DIVA really is. As young girls we are all different and beautiful in our own unique way. Here at the Diva Girlz Sorority we want all of our divas in training to love the skin they are in. We want them to know that we come in all shapes sizes and beautiful colors. Also, that they have a sisterhood that loves and supports them no matter what. From those ideas The Diva Girlz Sorority was born.  My mom who is the co-founder taught me that DIVAS aren't afraid to dream, to take initiative, to be vital members of their community, to be ambitious and to define their own sense of style. Our sorority is about self love, friendship, respecting oneself and others as well as sisterhood. Divas are leaders and they march to the beat of their own drum.  So to all of my future Diva Girlz Sorority sisters and parents I welcome you.
